The National Assembly decided to increase the basic salary to 1.6 million VND/month from July 1, 2020.

The National Assembly assigned the Government to adjust the basic salary from 1.49 million VND/month to 1.6 million VND/month from July 1, 2020.

From July 1, teachers' and lecturers' salaries increased sharply.

From July 1, 2019, the basic salary was adjusted to increase by 100,000 VND/month, so the salary of teachers and lecturers was also adjusted to increase from 165,000 VND/month to 800,000 VND/month depending on each subject.
Salary and allowance increase from July 1, 2018 for 9 groups of subjects

From July 1, 2018, 9 groups of subjects will have their salaries increased according to the newly issued Draft Decree regulating basic salary levels.

Increase basic salary for officials and civil servants

From May 1, 2016, the basic salary is 1.21 million VND/month. This is the content of Decree 47/2016/ND-CP regulating the basic salary for cadres, civil servants, public employees and armed forces, which has just been issued by the Government.
