Mr. Tran Van Nam (former Secretary of Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee) was proposed to be prosecuted along with 27 other defendants for his involvement in violations related to the transfer and cheap sale of "golden land" that occurred at the 3/2 Corporation.

The Politburo and the Secretariat disciplined a number of Party organizations and Party members.

On June 18, at the Party Central Committee headquarters, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong chaired a meeting of the Politburo and the Secretariat to review and discipline the Standing Committee of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term, the Party Committee of the Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term, and a number of leaders and former leaders of Binh Duong province.
