According to the Vietnam Register (Ministry of Transport), as of January 1, 2019, there were 19,316 more cars nationwide that had passed their expiration date (outdated cars) according to regulations and were not allowed to participate in traffic, bringing the total number of cars in this category to more than 200,000. Meanwhile, controlling and preventing these cars from circulating is not easy.

Strictly implement the ban on circulation of cars that have expired their usage period.

According to statistics from the Nghe An Motor Vehicle Registration Center, the total number of cars in the province that expired in 2012 was 314, including 259 trucks and 55 passenger cars. However, up to this point, the number of cars coming to complete procedures to return license plates and registration papers can be counted on the fingers.
