A one-day exploration of Ba Den Mountain: What to see, where to play, and what to eat?
Mount Ba Den offers many unique cultural and spiritual experiences. Below is a suggested detailed itinerary if visitors only have one day to explore the "roof of Southern Vietnam".
5 AM - 6 AM: Cloud hat hunting
This is an experience that many people, especially young people, love. Mount Ba Den often exhibits very rare cloud phenomena in the world such as lenticular clouds (cloud caps, flying saucer clouds), nacreous clouds, sea of clouds…
In particular, Mount Ba Den is currently in its most beautiful cloud-hunting season of the year, coinciding with the rainy season in Tay Ninh. The heavier the rain the previous afternoon, the more beautiful the cloud formations become in the early morning.

6-7 AM: Take the cable car up to the Ba Pagoda area.
In the area around Ba Pagoda, there are five shrines dedicated to Linh Son Thanh Mau Bodhisattva. This is a place where people in Southern Vietnam often come to worship and pray for peace.
Here, an important place of worship you can't miss is Linh Son Tien Thach Tu - the oldest temple on Ba Den Mountain, with a history of 300 years. Right next to the temple is Dien Ba, built from a cave roof, the main hall dedicated to Linh Son Thanh Mau with a black face.

10:00 AM: Ascend to the mountaintop and pay respects to the statue of the Goddess of Mercy on Mount Tây Bổ Đà.
From the Ba Pagoda area, it only takes 5 minutes to take the cable car to the mountaintop. Amidst the vast expanse of the cloud-covered mountain peak, the tallest bronze statue of the Goddess of Mercy in Asia stands majestically with a benevolent face.
From here, visitors will find themselves in a peaceful Buddhist land with meditative scenery and pathways lined with flowers blooming throughout all four seasons.
12 PM: Experience diverse culinary delights.
At the summit of Ba Den Mountain, there are many attractive culinary options. Visitors can try fast food such as pho, banh mi, sausages, pizza, chicken rice, etc. They also sell Ba Den ice cream in unique shapes such as the cable car station, the 986m milestone, the cable car, or a lotus flower.

Another culinary experience is enjoying a buffet at the Five Continents Restaurant, featuring hundreds of European and Asian dishes, a blend of traditional and modern cuisine. If choosing the buffet, visitors should purchase a "cable car ticket + buffet" combo at the cable car station to enjoy a discounted price.
2 PM: Explore the Buddhist exhibition.
Right at the foot of the Bodhisattva statue on Mount Tây Bổ Đà is a large four-story Buddhist exhibition center. The first floor shows a 3D mapping film about the formation of the universe through a Buddhist lens. The second floor is where visitors can explore a special room featuring prayer wheels and models of 16 famous temples in Vietnam, all presented through modern 3D hologram projection equipment.

The third floor houses a display of replicas of classic Buddhist artworks from around the world. The fourth floor contains the relics of the Buddha Shakyamuni, which were gifted to Vietnam in 2014 by the World Buddhist Federation at Bodh Gaya, India.
In the underground Dharma lecture area, visitors can admire a cluster of five pillars made of black granite with gold flecks, each carved with the Heart Sutra in gold lettering.
5 PM: Participate in the lantern offering ceremony.
Offering lanterns is a unique spiritual and cultural ritual at the summit of Ba Den Mountain, held every Saturday evening. Here, visitors receive free lanterns, write their wishes, and pray together for peace and good fortune in the magical light of thousands of lanterns on the sacred peak.
If you visit Ba Den Mountain during this Vu Lan season, don't miss the grand and sacred lantern offering ceremony held on Saturday evening, August 24th, to express gratitude and pray for peace for your parents. This is also an opportunity for visitors to converse with Buddhist monks about filial piety and watch meaningful Buddhist art performances during the Vu Lan festival.
8 PM: Watch the water show.
After the lantern offering ceremony, visitors will move down to the area with the statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva to watch the water music show, which utilizes state-of-the-art technology and a system of 1,450 dazzling lights.

This show, steeped in meditative imagery, will conclude a day of exploring Mount Ba Den with a feeling of peace and tranquility for visitors.
