10 young people who bring glory to Vietnam in the international arena

"Golden boy" of Nghe An - Cao Ngoc Thai
On July 20, 2014, the International Council announced the results of the 2014 World Physics Olympiad, in which Cao Ngoc Thai, a 12th grade Physics major student at Phan Boi Chau High School, Nghe An Province, won the Gold Medal at the World Physics Olympiad. With this result, Cao Ngoc Thai was the student with the highest score in the Vietnamese delegation, and ranked 3rd in the world, surpassing the threshold for the Gold Medal by 11.7 points.

This is the second time in 2014 that Cao Ngoc Thai has won an international gold medal. In the recent Asian Physics Olympiad, Cao Ngoc Thai was the only student from the Vietnamese delegation to win a gold medal.
In the 2014 International Physics Olympiad, the Vietnamese team won 3 gold medals, belonging to Cao Ngoc Thai and Do Thi Bich Hue - 12th grade students, High School for the Gifted, University of Natural Sciences (VNU Hanoi) and Vu Thanh Trung Nam - 11th grade student, Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Hanoi.
