Jean-Guy Laquerre, a retired geography teacher in Boucherville, Canada, has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the person with the largest collection of Santa Claus figures in the world. The 74-year-old man currently holds 25,189 Santa Claus memorabilia. The collection began with a gift from his aunt, a papier-mâché Santa Claus created in 1910. “I started keeping Christmas gifts from friends and relatives in 1988,” said Laquerre. Since then, his collection of Santa Claus memorabilia has been filled with all kinds of toys, statues, posters, cards, etc.
