Top 10 best-selling cars in Vietnam in March 2018
Toyota Vios continued to lead, Honda City thrived with sales of nearly 850 units, while only one fully imported model made it into the list of the top 10 best-selling cars in Vietnam in March 2018.
Recovered purchasing power, coupled with the uncertainty surrounding the arrival of imported vehicles from ASEAN countries, helped make the Vietnamese automotive market in March 2018 a showcase for domestically assembled cars. According to sales reports from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), total market sales reached 21,127 vehicles in March 2018, a 70% increase compared to February 2018.
Of these, 18,777 vehicles were assembled domestically, an increase of 76%, while 2,350 vehicles were imported, an increase of 37% compared to the previous month. The impact of government policies continued to create a clear differentiation among the best-selling car models in the market in March 2018. Domestic-assembled vehicles from Toyota, Mazda, KIA, etc., continued to dominate sales, while only one imported model made it into the top 10 best-selling cars of the month.
