To extinguish fires and protect human lives, firefighting equipment is being designed to be increasingly modern.

1. Fire truck concept to avoid traffic jams:The Russian company Dahir Insaat has unveiled a concept fire truck that can easily navigate congested roads using a special conversion mechanism. The vehicle can be raised and move on two wheels to squeeze through narrow gaps between other vehicles. Inside this fire truck is a 20-rotor drone that can lift firefighters to high altitudes to extinguish fires on tall buildings.

2. Otis TFFT Fire Truck:The Otis TFFT is described as resembling a tank more than a fire truck. It boasts two separate water spray systems, capable of extinguishing fires from different directions. Furthermore, the Otis TFFT's nozzles can spray two different types of fire extinguishing solution to increase firefighting efficiency. With a carrying capacity of nearly 4,000 liters of fire extinguishing solution, despite its heavy body, the Otis TFFT can still travel at speeds of 100 km/h. Its large wheels allow the Otis TFFT to navigate muddy areas up to 1.2 meters deep.

3. Hungarian fire truck with a blower:The Hungarian air-blowing fire truck combines the hull of a T-34 battle tank with two jet engines from a MiG-21 fighter jet. When the vehicle is in operation, the two jet engines blow a fire-extinguishing solution mixture onto the fire. It can deliver 220 liters of solution to a fire per second.

4. Man Rosenbauer Fire Truck:The Man Rosenbauer fire truck is one of the most modern fire trucks in the world. In Vietnam, the Hanoi Fire Department owns two of them. With a total load weight of 26 tons, a width of 2.55 m, a length of 12 m, and a 56 m ladder, the truck can easily reach 17-18 story buildings. The rescue basket can carry 3 people (270 kg), and it has an integrated ladder control panel for self-operation while performing tasks at height, capable of rescuing 18 people within 12 minutes.

5. Ka-32A11BC helicopter:The Ka-32A11BC is a military helicopter developed for the Russian Navy, but it is also frequently used for other purposes such as rescue, resupply, and transport. Equipped with Klimov TV3-117MA engines, the Ka-32A11BC has a top speed of 270 km/h. It is renowned for its highly effective aerial firefighting capabilities and is considered by experts to be one of the best search and rescue helicopters in the world.

6. Sikorsky S-64 “Skycrane” helicopter:This is the civilian version of the military helicopter. The Sikorsky S-64 "Skycrane" belongs to the group of heavy helicopters manufactured by the United States. The aircraft has two jet engines and six rotors and can carry 10,000 liters of water. In addition, the Sikorsky S-64 “Skycrane” has a large suction nozzle and can draw water from ponds and lakes in less than a minute.

7. Global Super Tanker aircraft:The Global Super Tanker isn't the only firefighting aircraft, but it truly stands out from others with similar functions. Most notably, the Global Super Tanker can travel at speeds of nearly 1,000 km/h, faster than any other firefighting aircraft. It can deliver eight fire retardant drops in a single flight. Refilling its 75,000 m³ fire retardant tank takes less than 30 minutes. Therefore, it is often used to extinguish forest fires, offshore oil rig fires, and fires in high-rise buildings.

8. Beriev Be-12 seaplane:The Beriev Be-12 Chayka (seagull) is a propeller-driven seaplane developed by the Beriev Design Bureau (Soviet Union) in the late 1950s for coastal patrol and anti-submarine warfare missions. It can also be modified into firefighting versions such as the Be-12P and Be-12P-200. The Beriev Be-12 has a maximum speed of up to 530 km/h, ensuring its ability to provide emergency assistance.

9. QinetiQ Firefighting Robot:This compact firefighting robot is a product of the British defense technology company QinetiQ. These robots are tasked with extinguishing fires involving industrial acetylene gas. These fires pose a threat to firefighters, as danger lingers even after they've put out the flames. Not only are they dangerous, but these types of fires also require the entire area to be sealed off for 24 hours. With the robot's assistance, the entire process takes less than three hours.

10. SAFFiR Robot:American scientists have created a firefighting robot called SAFFiR, which is designed to detect and extinguish fires on ships. SAFFiR is human-sized, can withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees Celsius, and works alongside firefighters in dangerous missions.
