10 biggest brands in Vietnam are valued by Forbes at nearly 7 billion USD

(Baonghean.vn) - Forbes Vietnam magazine has just announced the list of 50 most valuable brands in Vietnam in 2019. Accordingly, the total value of the 50 brands reached more than 9.3 billion USD, an increase of 1.2 billion USD compared to the list announced in 2018.

It is noteworthy that in this list, the 10 largest brands account for the highest percentage.

Compared to 2018, this year's list has expanded from 40 brands to 50 brands, in line with the development of businesses and the economy. However, Vinamilk still shows stability in brand value when maintaining the leading position for the 4th consecutive year. This also shows Vinamilk's sustainable development strategy as well as its constant creativity and innovation to affirm its position as the leading nutrition company in Vietnam and the Top 50 largest dairy companies in the world.

Forbes Vietnam conducts brand valuations using the Forbes (USA) evaluation method, calculating the brand's contribution to the business performance of the enterprise. The most valuable brands are those that achieve large revenues in industries where the brand plays a leading role. The data collection of enterprises is based on the financial reports of the companies.

According to the newly announced consolidated business results for the first 6 months of 2019, Vinamilk achieved revenue of VND 27,788 billion, an increase of nearly VND 2,000 billion compared to the same period in 2018, equivalent to an increase of 7.61%. Of which, net revenue in the second quarter of 2019 reached nearly VND 14,600 billion, an increase of 6.55% compared to the same period. This is the quarter Vinamilk achieved the highest revenue in the history of the company since its establishment until now and even surpassed the best growth period of the dairy industry in early 2017.
