According to information from the Lang Son Provincial Police, a suspect transporting a large quantity of firecrackers and grenades by car was arrested by police forces while traveling from the border area into the interior of Lang Son.

Accordingly, at approximately 8 PM (January 12th), on National Highway 1A in Phai Tran village, Block 5, Cao Loc town, Cao Loc district, Lang Son province, the Cao Loc District Police inspected a truck with license plate 21C - 006.96 driven by Ngo Van Tuyen (born in 1989, residing in Nghia Phuong, Luc Nam, Bac Giang). During the inspection, they discovered four cardboard boxes in the cabin, and four boxes in the truck bed, all containing firecrackers, including 72 boxes of firecracker sets and 1000 grenade-shaped firecrackers of Chinese origin, with a total weight of 168 kg.

The Cao Loc District Police have investigated and clarified that the suspect, Tuyen, drove a truck carrying goods to the Cao Bang provincial border gate, then crossed the border into China to purchase 8 boxes of firecrackers to transport back to his hometown for sale during Tet (Lunar New Year) to make a profit. While en route to bring the shipment of firecrackers back into the country, he was discovered and caught red-handed by the Cao Loc District Police.
