Eleven students from Vinh University won high prizes in national Olympic competitions.

(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of June 7th, the university held a conference to summarize student scientific research activities for the 2015-2016 academic year.

During the 2015-2016 academic year, Vinh University regularly organized many activities to promote the scientific research movement, such as academic excellence conferences, scientific research workshops, academic club models, seminars, and specialized Olympiad competitions.

The number of students participating in writing and having their work published in scientific journals is increasing.

In particular, at specialized Olympiad competitions, many students won high prizes, such as Tran Hoai Bao (54A Mathematics) who won first prize in Algebra and second prize in Calculus, and Tran Thi Trien (54A2 Physics) who won first prize in the problem-solving section and second prize in the multiple-choice section…

Associate Professor Ngo Dinh Phuong - Vice Rector of Vinh University, presented certificates of merit and awards to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in scientific research during the 2015-2016 academic year.

To improve scientific research among students, Vinh University will strive to diversify research methods in both breadth and depth in the coming period, considering this as one of the top priorities to enhance the quality of education at the university.

The conference commended and rewarded 11 students who won prizes in national Olympic competitions in specialized subjects, and 31 groups and 58 individuals who achieved high results in the student scientific research movement in the 2015-2016 academic year.
