12 Clubs participate in the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival, Cluster IV

Attending the opening ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee: Vo Van Dung - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival 2023.

Also attending were leaders of the districts: Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong and Thai Hoa town.

The Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival, cluster IV, took place over two days from July 17-18, with the participation of nearly 300 artists from 11 folk song clubs of the districts: Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong and Thai Hoa town.

Each club participates in 3-4 performances praising the spirit of work, love of life, promoting and encouraging the emulation movement to build the homeland and country, build new rural areas and civilized urban areas, reflecting the typical cultural characteristics of Nghe Tinh.

The 2023 Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival at the cluster level is organized to select typical clubs to participate in the Inter-provincial Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival taking place at the end of July - an important activity of theNghe Tinh Vi and Giam Folk Song Festival2023, towards the 10th anniversary of this art form being recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

This is also an opportunity to affirm the richness and diversity of the Vi and Giam folk song heritage; contribute to promoting and introducing the unique quintessence of Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs in particular and the history and traditional culture of Nghe An countryside in general; arouse pride, raise awareness and responsibility for preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage among all classes of people.
