A quick report from localities to the Ministry of Education and Training indicates that during the Literature exam, 15 candidates violated regulations, 10 of whom were suspended from the exam. The number of absent candidates was 7,210.

According to information from the Ministry of Education and Training, 15 candidates violated exam regulations during this morning's Literature exam and were disciplined. Of these, 2 received a reprimand, 1 received a warning, and 10 were suspended from the exam.

Eight candidates were suspended from the exam for bringing mobile phones into the examination room, and two were suspended for using unauthorized materials. This is the highest penalty among exam disciplinary measures; accordingly, the students will receive a score of 0 on the Literature exam and will not be allowed to continue taking the remaining exams.

According to aggregated data from the Ministry of Education and Training, over 1.15 million candidates registered to take the Literature exam nationwide, including over 1.13 million who registered under the 2018 curriculum and over 19,000 who registered under the 2006 curriculum.

Over 1.14 million candidates actually took the exam, achieving a participation rate of 99.37% (99.52% for candidates taking the exam under the new curriculum and 90.65% for candidates taking the exam under the old curriculum).

The number of absent candidates in the Literature exam was 7,210.

The Literature exam was assessed by candidates as being of appropriate difficulty and having a novel element, allowing students to demonstrate their thinking abilities and personal viewpoints.

This afternoon, candidates will take the Mathematics exam in multiple-choice format, with a time limit of 90 minutes.
