During the days of heavy rain and flooding, the People's Committee of My Ly commune mobilized hundreds of border guard officers and militia members to be on duty 24/7 at the aforementioned villages to prevent any adverse situations from occurring. According to Mr. Lieu, the two villages of Cha Nga and Xop Duong currently have difficult access roads, only by waterway, and lack telephone signal, making it impossible to monitor the situation there during major floods.
According to statistics, the recent flood submerged 16 houses and swept away 3 semi-permanent houses in Xang Tren village, while other villages experienced negligible flooding. In Xop Tu village, the flood also swept away 3 trucks belonging to a company located in the area. Damage to crops was insignificant. The situation in Cha Nga and Xop Duong villages is still unknown.
