Sixteen provinces and cities have reported individuals linked to COVID-19 cases who entered the country illegally.

According to information from the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control meeting on the afternoon of March 26, the Ministry of Health reported on the tracing of individuals linked to the three cases.illegal entryAnnounced on March 26th, the investigation is proceeding urgently. Authorities have identified 16 provinces and cities where people had contact with or traveled on the same flight as the two infected cases.

Ho Chi Minh City has reviewed the situation.31 peopleThis includes 8 F1 contacts and 23 F2 contacts of "patient 2580". All F contacts tested negative in their first test on the afternoon of March 26th.

In Hai Phong City, as of the morning of March 26th, 22 F1 contacts have been identified and placed in medical quarantine. Of these, 21 tested negative in the first test, and one...people who test positiveHe was part of a group that illegally entered the country from Phu Quoc, as recorded by the Ministry of Health on the afternoon of March 26th.

Medical staff are compiling a list of people to be tested for nCoV at Noi Bai Airport.

Quang Ninh province has traced six people, including five who were on the same flight and one employee of Vinmec Hai Phong Hospital (where "patient 2582" visited before testing positive). Of these, three people on the same flight tested negative on March 25th, one person traveled to Hanoi and is awaiting test results from the Hanoi Center for Disease Control (CDC); and one Vinmec Hai Phong Hospital employee is also awaiting test results.

In Hanoi, authorities have initially determined...79 peopleThey were on the same flight, and four of them are close contacts (F1). Among the F1s, one flight attendant showed symptoms of a sore throat and has been isolated and treated at Thanh Nhan General Hospital; the remaining three F1s have had samples taken and have been transferred to centralized quarantine. The remaining cases are still being investigated and verified by the districts, counties, and towns, with samples taken and home quarantine implemented.

Mr. Huynh Quang Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Quoc City, said that the city's health sector is continuing to trace F2 and F3 cases.

In addition, 11 other provinces and cities with passengers on the same flight are being further investigated. Specifically: Phu Tho 11 people, Lao Cai (9), Ninh Binh (6), Bac Ninh and Thai Binh both 2, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh provinces,Nghe An, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, and Vinh Phuc each have 1 person.

The Ministry of Health has requested the People's Committees of Hai Phong, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Kien Giang provinces and cities, as well as Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company, to continue expanding epidemiological investigations, rapidly tracing and isolating individuals who entered the country along with the two patients to Phu Quoc and then returned to their respective localities.

The confirmed case in Ho Chi Minh City is "patient 2580", and the two cases in Hai Phong are "patient 2582" and "patient 2586". They illegally entered Phu Quoc by fishing boat on March 22nd.

The woman, originally from Vinh Long, then traveled from Phu Quoc to Ho Chi Minh City by sea and land. On March 24th, she underwent testing at FV Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, and the results came back positive on March 25th. The patient is currently isolated and receiving treatment at the Cu Chi Field Hospital.

A person from Cam Pha, Quang Ninh province, and another person from Kien Thuy district, Hai Phong city, traveled on flight VJ458 from Phu Quoc to Noi Bai airport, then took a private car to Hai Phong. On March 24th, the woman from Cam Pha went to Vinmec Hai Phong Hospital for testing, and on March 25th, the result was positive. The person who traveled with her also tested positive for nCoV on March 26th.
