2,000 businesses met directly with the Prime Minister.
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (May 17th), Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a meeting with businesses on the theme "Accompanying Businesses". The meeting will take place from 7:30 AM at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.
Approximately 2,000 delegates will attend the Conference in person, four times the number last year, including about 1,500 delegates from the private sector, along with about 200 delegates from foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises, several embassies and major financial institutions, 100 delegates from state-owned and privatized enterprises, as well as representatives from government agencies and the press.
Attending the conference online were leaders from 63 provinces and cities, along with business representatives, with 50-100 people at each location. It is expected that a total of nearly 10,000 delegates will participate in the conference.

At the conference, the Minister of Planning and Investment is expected to report on the preliminary results of the implementation of Resolution 35 on supporting and developing enterprises. The Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) will present a summary of the business community's assessment of the implementation of this Resolution.
Business associations and enterprises will offer suggestions and recommendations; ministries, sectors, and localities will exchange and discuss with businesses to resolve obstacles and address recommendations. The Prime Minister will make conclusions, and after the conference, the Prime Minister will issue a directive on supporting businesses.
Immediately following the conference, on the same day, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers will meet with ministries, agencies, and organizations to review and address the businesses' recommendations.
*One day before the Conference (May 16)The Government Office has just issued a document conveying the directives of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, requesting the rectification of inspection and examination work for businesses and the resolution of duplication in inspection and auditing activities.
To address shortcomings and limitations in inspection and examination of enterprises; resolve overlapping and duplication in inspection and auditing activities; and continue to strictly implement Government Resolution No. 35/NQ-CP dated May 16, 2016, on supporting and developing enterprises until 2020; Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc assigned the Government Inspectorate to take the lead and coordinate with relevant ministries, sectors, and localities to urgently research and draft a Prime Minister's Directive on rectifying the inspection and examination of enterprises to promptly address feedback and recommendations from enterprises regarding the excessive number of inspections and examinations in the same year; create conditions to support, develop, and protect the legitimate rights of enterprises; and report to the Prime Minister before May 17, 2017.
The Prime Minister has assigned the Government Inspectorate to take the lead, in coordination with the Ministry of Justice and the State Audit Office, in reviewing and amending or proposing amendments to regulations in the system of legal documents on inspection and auditing; to prevent overlapping and duplication in inspection and auditing activities that cause inconvenience and difficulties for the business operations of enterprises; and to report the results to the Prime Minister in the second quarter of 2017.
