2,000 children will receive free heart checkups.
Approximately 2,000 underprivileged children in the districts of Cư Jút and Krông Nô (Đắk Nông province) received free screening and treatment for congenital heart disease.
On October 19-20, Children's Hospital 1 (Ho Chi Minh City), the Ho Chi Minh City Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease Association, in coordination with the Dak Nong Department of Health, Dak Nong Newspaper, the Ngo Family Council of Vietnam, and the People's Committees of Cu Jut and Krong No districts, organized free screening and treatment for congenital heart disease for approximately 2,000 underprivileged children in the two localities.

Specifically, on October 19th, units will provide free screening and treatment for congenital heart disease for underprivileged children at the Cu Jut District Health Center. On October 20th, free screening and treatment for congenital heart disease will be provided for children at the Krong No District Health Center.
During the program, children will receive echocardiograms and screenings for congenital heart disease from doctors and medical staff at Children's Hospital 1 (Ho Chi Minh City) and the Ho Chi Minh City Association of Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease. If a child is found to have a heart condition, the doctors will advise on monitoring and treatment.
According to the plan, children with congenital heart disease will be transferred to specialized pediatric cardiology centers in Ho Chi Minh City for free treatment (surgery, intervention).
In addition to providing free medical examinations and treatment, the program also gives gifts to underprivileged children in the two localities.
It is known that in 2023, the Ho Chi Minh City Pediatric Cardiology and Congenital Heart Disease Association, in coordination with Dak Nong Newspaper, the Dak Nong Provincial Department of Health, and local authorities, organized a program to provide free screening and treatment for congenital heart disease and tặng gifts to disadvantaged children in Dak Glong and Tuy Duc districts.
This is a humanitarian program aimed at helping underprivileged children in Dak Nong receive timely examination and treatment for heart diseases.
