While on their way to a coffee shop, brothers Dong and Duong were threatened with guns by a group of young men who then chased after them with knives.
On September 8th, the police in Trieu Son district, Thanh Hoa province, confirmed that a murder had occurred in the area, resulting in one person being stabbed to death and another injured on the night of September 6th.

When this group reached Ba Trieu Street (Trieu Son town), they encountered another group of young men (about 6 people) who had parked their motorbikes by the roadside. Due to a previous conflict, upon meeting, the two groups exchanged heated words, and the group of 6 pulled out guns to threaten them and then used knives to chase after Dong and Duong's group.
As a result, Trinh Van Duong was stabbed to death, while Trinh Van Dong was injured and escaped along with the others.
After committing the crime, the group of young men who stabbed the victim to death fled the scene on motorcycles.
Immediately after the murder occurred, the Trieu Son District Police quickly arrived at the scene to conduct an examination and investigate the cause of the crime.
Subsequently, the case file was transferred by the Trieu Son District Police to the Criminal Investigation Department (PC45) of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police for investigation according to their jurisdiction.
