A father and son were severely beaten by a group of debt collectors.
(Baonghean.vn) - Khanh's group went to Mrs. Hanh's house to collect a debt on behalf of someone else, which led to a fight. Khanh and his friends used iron pipes to repeatedly beat Mrs. Hanh's husband and son, causing serious injuries that required emergency hospitalization.
On the afternoon of December 21st, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Deputy Head of the Nghi Loc District Police, stated that the unit is currently detaining three individuals: Le Dinh Khanh, Tran Anh Vuong, and Nguyen Van Huong (all residing in Vinh City) for verification and clarification of their alleged intentional infliction of injury. The remaining suspects, Nguyen Ngoc Hau, Ho Thai Anh, and Nguyen Thanh Long, have been released on bail.
Earlier, at 4 PM on December 14, 2017, the Nghi Loc District Police received a report that at around 3 PM the same day, a group of young men on motorbikes came to the house of Ms. Hoang Thi Hanh (residing in Hamlet 10, Nghi My Commune, Nghi Loc District) and made threats.

This group of young men used iron pipes to hit Ms. Hanh's son on the head, causing serious injuries that required him to be rushed to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment. After committing the crime, the perpetrators got on motorcycles and left the scene.
Upon receiving the report, the Nghi Loc District Police leadership dispatched a team of investigators to the scene to gather documents and evidence and track down the perpetrators. Following the trail, and using the surveillance camera system along the route, the police determined that the group of suspects was heading towards Vinh City.
The Nghi Loc District Police reported the case to the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Nghe An Provincial Police and the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police for guidance and coordination. A special investigation, code-named 1217T, was established to investigate and identify the suspects.
On December 15, 2017, the Investigation Police Department of Nghi Loc District issued an urgent arrest warrant for Le Dinh Khanh (born in 1991), residing in Hung Dong Ward, Vinh City.
The remaining suspects, including Nguyen Ngoc Hau (born 1999, residing in Mai Loc hamlet, Hung Dong ward, Vinh City); Ho Thai Anh (born 1996, residing in Dong Vinh ward, Vinh City); Tran Anh Vuong (residing in Hung Dung ward, Vinh City); Nguyen Van Huong (born 1996, residing in Hung Dong commune, Vinh City); and Nguyen Thanh Long (born 1997, residing in Hung Binh ward, Vinh City), voluntarily surrendered to the police.
At the police station, the suspects confessed that they were hired by a man named Mạnh to collect a debt for Ms. Nguyễn Thị Huyền (residing in Hamlet 10, Nghi Phương Commune, Nghi Lộc District). Previously, Ms. Huyền had lent Ms. Hoàng Thị Hạnh 26 million VND.
After agreeing to pay Ms. Huyen a debt and receiving an advance of 5 million VND, Khanh gathered his friends, including Long, Vuong, Anh, Huong, and Hau, to go to Ms. Hanh's house to demand payment. There, the group of young men got into a fight with Mr. Ngo Tri Thuc (Ms. Hanh's son) and Mr. Ngo Xuan Dong (Ms. Hanh's husband). Khanh gave three square iron pipes, each about 1 meter long, to Tran Anh Vuong and Nguyen Van Huong to repeatedly beat Mr. Dong and Mr. Thuc.
The case is currently under further investigation by the Nghi Loc District Police.
