Two hours spent searching for the killer of the cattle trader.

(Baonghean.vn) - Dung had a knife ready before getting on the motorbike of a cattle trader. While driving along a deserted road, Dung murdered the man and stole 10 million dong.

The police are currently holding Tran Huu Dung (born in 1981, residing in Hamlet 2, Dinh Son Commune, Anh Son District) in custody for investigation into the crimes of murder and robbery.

Dũng was arrested by the Anh Sơn District Police while riding his motorbike in Hamlet 9, Cẩm Sơn Commune. The suspect is accused of murdering Nguyễn Văn Sơn (born 1970, residing in Hamlet 6, Đại Sơn Commune, Đô Lương District) on the afternoon of May 24th in a tea garden belonging to a household in Tân Tiến Hamlet, Cẩm Sơn Commune.

At the police station, Dung confessed that, because the two knew each other, on the afternoon of May 24th, Son gave Dung a ride on the back of his motorbike to Cam Son commune to buy cattle.

As the two were traveling along a deserted road, Dung, sitting behind, stabbed Son multiple times with a knife. Taken by surprise from behind, Son fell off his motorbike and collapsed onto the road. Not stopping there, Dung continued to stab Son many more times, causing him to die instantly.

At approximately 2 PM on May 24th, the Anh Son District Police received a report from the Cam Son Commune Police stating that a male body, approximately 40 years old, had been discovered in the tea garden of Mr. Le Van Hau (Tan Tien village).

Upon receiving the report, the Anh Son District Police immediately reported the incident to the Provincial Police and the Criminal Investigation Department; at the same time, they dispatched a task force to the scene to verify and gather information for investigation.

Through autopsy and crime scene investigation, the police determined this was a murder-robbery case; the incident occurred around 12 PM on the same day. The victim was identified as Nguyen Van Son, a cattle trader. He had nine stab wounds. About 150 meters away, the police also found a pair of blood-stained sandals belonging to the victim.

Police believe the crime has just occurred and the perpetrator has certainly not escaped far. After verifying and screening suspects in the area, the police have grounds to confirm that Tran Huu Dung is the perpetrator of this crime.

During the pursuit, police spotted the suspect riding a motorbike on a road in Hamlet 9, Cam Son Commune. As the suspect approached, the police apprehended him. The seized items included a motorbike, a mobile phone, over 10 million VND, and a knife that was later identified as the murder weapon.

The day before, the victim and the suspect had been drinking together. The victim had called home asking for money to buy cattle. It's possible that Dung knew Son had money and murdered him to steal it. Dung is known to be a drug addict and has a prior criminal record for theft.

The case is currently under further investigation by the police.
