2 hours searching for the murderer of the cow trader

The police are still detaining Tran Huu Dung (born in 1981, residing in village 2, Dinh Son commune, Anh Son district) to investigate the acts of murder and robbery.

Dung was arrested by Anh Son District Police while riding a motorbike in Hamlet 9, Cam Son Commune. This suspect is accused of killing Nguyen Van Son (born in 1970, residing in Hamlet 6, Dai Son Commune, Do Luong District) on the afternoon of May 24 in the tea garden of a household in Tan Tien Hamlet, Cam Son Commune.

At the police station, Dung confessed that because they knew each other, on the afternoon of May 24, Son drove Dung to Cam Son commune to buy cows.

As the two passed through a deserted road, Dung, who was sitting behind, stabbed Son multiple times with a knife. Suddenly stabbed from behind, Son fell off his motorbike and collapsed on the road. Not stopping there, Dung continued to stab Son multiple times, causing him to die on the spot.

At around 2:00 p.m. on May 24, Anh Son District Police received a report from Cam Son Commune Police stating that in the tea garden of Mr. Le Van Hau (Tan Tien village), people discovered the body of a male about 40 years old.

Upon receiving the news, Anh Son District Police reported the incident to the Provincial Police and the Criminal Police Department; at the same time, sent a working group to the scene to verify and collect information for investigation.

Through autopsy and crime scene investigation, the police determined that this was a murder and robbery case; the incident occurred around 12:00 noon the same day. The victim was identified as Nguyen Van Son, who was working as a cattle trader. The victim had 9 stab wounds on his body. 150m away, the police also discovered a pair of sandals covered in the victim's blood.

The police determined that the case had just occurred and the perpetrator certainly could not have escaped far. After verifying and screening the subjects in the area, the police had grounds to confirm that Tran Huu Dung was the subject who committed this case.

During the pursuit, the police discovered the suspect riding a motorbike on the road in Hamlet 9, Cam Son Commune. When the suspect ran towards them, the police rushed in to control him. The seized evidence included a motorbike, a mobile phone, more than 10 million VND and a knife that was later identified as the murder weapon.

The day before, the victim and the suspect had been drinking together. The victim had called home to say he was sending money to buy buffaloes and cows. Maybe Dung knew that Mr. Son had money so he killed him to rob him. It is known that Dung is a drug addict and has a previous conviction for theft.

The case is currently under further investigation by the police.
