One is the son of People's Artist Hoang Dung, and the other is the son of "Tao Ba" (the female star of the Kitchen Gods) Van Dung.

With the strong development of television dramas, having "newcomers" to supplement the acting team is essential. Among the new faces of VFC in recent times, the appearance of Hoang Trieu Duong and Nguyen Long Vu cannot be overlooked.

Hoang Trieu Duong – son of the late People's Artist Hoang Dung

Hoang Trieu Duong is the son of the late People's Artist Hoang Dung. Born in 1999, he graduated from the Hanoi University of Theatre and Film at the end of 2021. After graduation, Hoang Trieu Duong interned at the Hanoi Drama Theatre – where People's Artist Hoang Dung was associated for over 40 years.

Regarding stage performances, since his student days, Trieu Duong has appeared in two plays broadcast on VTV:The road ahead is an unequal battle.

However, it wasn't until he appeared on the small screen as a television actor that audiences were truly impressed by him. Right from his debut role in the film...Street in the villageHoang Trieu Duong has received public attention.

His resolute and attractive face, along with his impressive family background, helped Huang Chaoyang easily win over audiences. In 2023, the actor continued to appear in films. The war knows no boundaries.

Interestingly, in both films, Trieu Duong was cast as a young, upright, ambitious soldier who always strives to complete his mission.

Although both of Hoang Trieu Duong's roles didn't have much screen time, they still left a strong impression on the audience. Sharing his thoughts on following in his father's footsteps, Hoang Trieu Duong confided:"As Dũng's daughter, I honestly don't feel any pressure at all. Instead, I'm always proud and confident enough to express myself. I think that's an advantage compared to many others. But most importantly, I always strive my best to be accepted by the audience."

The late People's Artist Hoang Dung was a veteran artist in the Northern Vietnamese film industry. He had many classic roles and was also a mentor who trained many stars for Vietnamese cinema.

For Hoang Trieu Duong, the overwhelming shadow of his father is not something that puts pressure on him:"Actually, people often ask what I need to do to overcome my father's shadow since he's so famous, but I think it's not about overcoming my father's shadow, but rather, I will walk alongside him."

For me, being known as the son of a People's Artist or as the young actor Hoang Trieu Duong doesn't matter. What's important is whether I do well enough for the audience to accept and remember me."

Nguyen Long Vu – son of "Tao Ba" Van Dung

Another "newcomer" of VFC who attracted much audience attention in 2023 is Nguyen Long Vu. Long Vu was born in 2021 and graduated from the Hanoi University of Theatre and Film. He is the son of "Tao Ba" (a popular Vietnamese actress) Van Dung.

Interestingly, both Long Vu and Hoang Trieu Duong are involved in the film project.War without bordersAlthough they don't play the same type of character, it's easy to see that Long Vũ and Triều Dương are "opposite in nature" on the small screen.

In this film, Trieu Duong plays a young naval soldier, while Trieu Duong portrays a rebellious and unruly "mountain boy" named Cuong, who is spoiled and arrogant because of his wealthy father.

Previously, Long Vũ had tried his hand at small roles in films:Our family was unexpectedly happy, a small path into life.In 2023, he continued to attract attention with his role as Quynh Luong's younger brother inI'm not afraid to get married, I just need a reason.

It's easy to see that Long Vũ has a versatile acting style, well-suited to roles of spoiled, rebellious young men with strong personalities. This is quite similar to the acting style of his mother – actress Vân Dung.

Vân Dung is not only famous for her portrayal of feisty and capricious "Táo bà" (Kitchen Gods), but she has also made her mark on the small screen with her cunning and energetic roles.

Long Vũ doesn't feel pressured having a famous mother.

Long Vũ revealed that even though he is the son of artist Vân Dung, he still had to audition and failed repeatedly:"I've tried auditioning for so many films, but I kept failing. I saw that all the other actors were tall, handsome, and good-looking, but I was the only one who didn't look like anyone else."

The young actor said he felt no pressure at all having a famous mother who works in the same profession:"Personally, I've never felt pressured; on the contrary, I feel very lucky and proud of what my mother has contributed to the arts and brought laughter to the audience."

This is not only a source of pride but also a motivation that fuels me every time I have the opportunity to appear on screen.”
