2 years in prison for drug traffickers

(Baonghean.vn) - The People's Court of Que Phong district has just conducted the first instance trial of the criminal case of "Illegal drug trafficking" against defendant Lu Van Tri, born in 1985, residing in Bo village, Cam Muon commune.

In court, defendant Lu Van Tri stated: On December 17, 2015, Tri bought a package of heroin worth 180,000 VND in Hien village (Chau Thon commune), Que Phong district. After using it, the defendant divided the remaining amount into 4 small packages to sell and use gradually.

At 5:00 p.m. the same day, Tri sold a small package to two young men for 100,000 VND. At 7:30 p.m., Que Phong District Police conducted an administrative inspection and seized 3 packages of Heroin weighing 0.25 grams.

After reviewing the evidence, along with aggravating and mitigating circumstances, the People's Court of Que Phong district sentenced defendant Lu Van Tri to 2 years in prison for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".
