(Baonghean.vn) - From July 2019 to now, African swine fever in Quynh Luu district continues to rage and attack large-scale pig farms, causing billions of dong in damage to farmers.
Accordingly, African swine fever has 'wiped out' the farm with a total of 180 gilts and pigs of Mr. Nguyen Tien Cuong, hamlet 5, Quynh Giang commune.The Quynh Luu District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station dug a hole in the farm to bury the pigs on site. It is estimated that the epidemic has caused Mr. Cuong's family to lose nearly 450 million VND.

In Quynh Hong commune, out of 3 pig farms recognized by the district, 2 farms have been wiped out by African swine fever. The locality has completed the destruction of 3.2 tons of pigs from Mr. Tran Duc Nhan's farm in hamlet 4.
As for Mr. Tran Duc Song's farm, also in hamlet 4, with a total herd of 170 pigs, the commune has mobilized forces to destroy 3 tons/40 dead sick pigs. The remaining pigs have had test results and will be dug by Quynh Hong commune, expected to bury 7 tons of pigs on September 23.
