20 projects have reached the finals of Techfest Nghe An Open 2023.

As part of the Techfest Nghe An Open 2023 series of events, on the morning of October 12th, the Department of Science and Technology organized the final round of the Nghe An Open 2023 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent Search Competition (Techfest Nghe An Open 2023) with the theme "Connecting Founders".

The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology, research institutes, leaders of departments and agencies, and universities and colleges in the province.

Techfest Nghe An Open 2023 aims to promote innovative solutions to local problems, linked to the development of potential, strengths, and the exploitation of local resources and distinctive products; to develop online platforms, e-commerce, and new business models to create breakthroughs and contribute to the development of the innovative startup ecosystem in Nghe An province.

Simultaneously, we will connect expert resources, intellectuals, and entrepreneurs from both within and outside the country to support promising start-up businesses, transforming the "Lam River Aspiration into a Lam River Miracle" and contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

After more than 9 months since its launch, the program has received active support from departments, agencies, and localities nationwide. The competition received over 120 applications from organizations and individuals across the country, including 113 online applications. Following the qualifying rounds, training, and mentoring to refine the projects, the Organizing Committee selected the 20 most promising projects for the final round of the competition.

In the final round, contestants present their projects, the judges ask questions and score the projects. Accordingly, the competition organizers will select 10 outstanding projects to award prizes. These include 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, and 4 consolation prizes.

In his opening remarks at the final round of the competition, Mr. Nguyen Quy Linh, Director of the Nghe An Department of Science and Technology, emphasized: "In recent times, the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee has issued many documents to support, promote, and develop the innovative startup movement. The Department of Science and Technology has taken the lead in advising and implementing activities on innovative startups in the province to support innovative startup businesses in Nghe An province to overcome the initial stage and attract investment capital and the attention and support of society, organizations, individuals, and businesses for startup projects and ideas with development potential."

This event is an opportunity to explore and promote the intelligence and innovative entrepreneurial spirit of startups in Nghe An; it is an opportunity to connect investment and startups, an opportunity to exchange and learn from experience, and to attract investors and support organizations in the province, nationwide, and internationally.

On the same day, at Vinh Medical University, the organizing committee also inaugurated the final round of the "Beauty Tech Startup Talent" competition in 2023.
