21 delegates from Nghe An province attended the National Women's Congress.
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 6th, the delegation of women from Nghe An province arrived in Hanoi to attend the 12th National Congress of Women's Representatives (2017-2022 term).
The Congress will take place from March 6th to March 9th at the National Convention Center in Hanoi, under the spirit of "Unity - Innovation - Equality - Integration". The Congress will have 1,153 official delegates, all exemplary women representing various social strata, ethnic groups, religions, age groups, professions, fields of work, and regions across the country.
Attending this Congress, the Nghe An delegation consists of 21 delegates, including Comrade Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Le Thi Tam - Provincial Party Committee Member, Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union; and representatives of the Provincial Women's Union leadership, specialized departments, women's forces in the province, and delegates from the O Du, Kho Mu, Thai, and Tho ethnic groups.

The Congress is tasked with evaluating the women's movement and the results of the Association's activities during the 2012-2017 term, reviewing the activities of the 11th Executive Committee, electing the 12th Executive Committee, and setting forth directions and tasks for the 2017-2022 term, aiming to promote the fine traditions and creativity of women, build an increasingly strong Association, and contribute to accelerating the process of reform, national construction, and defense.
Alongside the Congress, there were also activities: honoring 100 exemplary women in various fields and interacting with the Prime Minister; the "Proud Vietnamese Women" program and the awarding of the Kovalevskaia Prize 2016 on March 7th; the exhibition "Vietnamese Women - The Mark of 30 Years of Innovation" from March 7-9 at the National Convention Center; and an art program celebrating the success of the Congress on the evening of March 9th.
