21 Nghe An delegates attend the National Women's Congress
(Baonghean.vn) - On March 6, the delegation of women from Nghe An province arrived in Hanoi to attend the 12th National Women's Congress (term 2017 - 2022).
The Congress will take place from March 6 to March 9 at the National Convention Center, Hanoi, with the spirit of “Solidarity - Innovation - Equality - Integration”. The Congress has 1,153 official delegates who are outstanding women, representing women of all classes, ethnicities, religions, ages, professions, fields of work and different regions across the country.
Attending this Congress, Nghe An Delegation had 21 delegates, including Comrade Cao Thi Hien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Comrade Le Thi Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union and representatives of the Provincial Women's Union, professional departments, women's forces in the province and delegates who are women of the O Du, Kho Mu, Thai and Tho ethnic groups.

The Congress has the task of evaluating the women's movement and the results of the Association's activities for the 2012-2017 term, reviewing the activities of the 11th Executive Committee and electing the 12th Executive Committee and setting out the direction and tasks for the 2017-2022 term, aiming to promote the good traditions and creativity of women, build an increasingly strong Association, contributing to promoting the cause of innovation, building and defending the Fatherland.
On the sidelines of the Congress, there are also activities: Commendation and honor of 100 outstanding women in various fields and exchange with the Prime Minister, the program "Pride of Vietnamese Women" and awarding of the 2016 Kovalevskaia Award taking place on March 7; Exhibition "Vietnamese Women - Imprints of 30 years of innovation" from March 7-9 at the National Convention Center; Art program to celebrate the success of the Congress on the evening of March 9.
