239 works advance to the final round of the 2025 Nghe An Province Golden Hammer and Sickle Award.
In 2025, the Organizing Committee of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award of Nghe An province received 285 entries, of which 239 were shortlisted for the final round.
On the morning of November 3rd, the Final Judging Council of the Nghe An Province 2025 Journalism Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) met to begin evaluating the works that qualified for the final round.
Comrade Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee, and Head of the Judging Panel for the 2025 Nghe An Province Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting was Comrade Tran Minh Ngoc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper and Radio and Television, and Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association.
The "Golden Hammer and Sickle Award - Nghe An 2025" integrates the prizes from the Journalism Competition on Models and Exemplary Cases of "Effective Mass Mobilization" and the Political Commentary Competition on Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation.
Thanks to extensive publicity, the competition received enthusiastic interest and participation from press agencies, organizations, reporters, and collaborators both within and outside the province.
As a result, by October 5, 2025, the deadline for submitting entries, the Vietnam Journalists Association had received a total of 285 works, of which 273 were deemed valid and selected for judging.
The entries covered a diverse range of topics and genres, vividly reflecting the work of Party building, building the political system, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the province; the effectiveness of implementing Party resolutions in life, across the fields of economics, politics, ideology, culture, national defense, security, foreign affairs, and anti-corruption...
Following the preliminary judging round, the jury selected 239 high-quality works to advance to the final round across various categories: television, print, radio, online, print (and online) magazines, photojournalism, and video clips. The jury proposed awarding the Nghe An Province Golden Hammer and Sickle Award 2025 to 61 outstanding works.
The announcement ceremony for the 2025 Nghe An Province Golden Hammer and Sickle Award will be held on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Party (February 3, 2026).
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Pham Ngoc Canh acknowledged and commended the promptness, impartiality, and seriousness of the members of the Judging Panel, the Support Team, and the Secretariat in selecting the best journalistic works.
The comrade assessed that this year's competition saw an increase in both the quantity and quality of entries; the topics were diverse and rich, reflecting the decisive, systematic, and responsible involvement of the Organizing Committee and the press agencies, localities, and units.
The comrade requested that relevant departments make thorough preparations for the awards ceremony; focusing on completing the dossiers for submission to the central level. At the same time, he hoped that members of the Organizing Committee and media agencies would continue to spread the significance of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award at all levels.
