24 Professors and Associate Professors from Nghe An Province were honored.

(Baonghean.vn) - Among the 52 professors and 470 associate professors recently honored, 1 professor and 23 associate professors are from Nghe An province.

The female professor honored is Ms. Nguyen Thai Yen Huong, born in 1962, from Yen Thanh district, Nghe An province, currently working at the Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The other 23 newly appointed Associate Professors from Nghe An are currently working at scientific centers, academies, and universities throughout the country.

During the 2015 Professor and Associate Professor Recognition Ceremony, Vinh University had three lecturers recognized with the title of Associate Professor: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Hao, Faculty of History; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Duc Giang, Faculty of Chemistry; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kieu Phuong Chi, Faculty of Mathematics.

According to the State Council for Professor Titles, in 2015, 681 educators registered to be considered for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor, including 74 Professors and 607 Associate Professors. Candidates were evaluated at three levels: institutional, sectoral, and national. As a result, 52 individuals met the criteria for the title of Professor (70.27%) and 470 individuals met the criteria for the title of Associate Professor (77.43%).

The youngest professor honored this year is Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, in the field of Physics, Deputy Director of ITIMS, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, 43 years old. The youngest associate professor this year is Ho Khac Hieu, in the field of Physics, Duy Tan University (private), 31 years old.

On November 12th, the awards ceremony was held at the National Convention Center.
