27 months in prison for drug dealer in Ba village
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 21, the People's Court of Ky Son district held a first-instance trial of Vy Van May, born in 1983, residing in Ba village, Huu Kiem commune (Ky Son district) for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking" as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 251 of the Penal Code.
According to the indictment, at about 8:00 a.m. on April 17, 2018, May rented a car to go to Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Ky Son district to buy a block of heroin from an unknown person for 200,000 VND.May then went home and divided the heroin into 24 small packages to sell for profit.

However, before she could sell it to anyone, May was discovered and arrested.
At the trial, the defendant May confessed and admitted his crime. When questioned by the judge, the defendant May said that the purpose of selling heroin was to earn money for medical treatment.
Based on the case file and the proceedings at the trial, the panel sentenced May to 27 months in prison.
