3 subjects who beat male student to death turned themselves in
After committing the crime, the group fled the area. With the persuasion of the police, all three turned themselves in.
On the evening of November 14, the Phuoc Long Town Police, Binh Phuoc Province, announced that the three suspects involved in the assault of male student Nguyen Thoi D (17 years old, student of Phuoc Long High School), causing the victim's death, had turned themselves in and confessed to their crimes. Currently, the police are continuing to investigate the case.
Three suspects were detained by the police for investigation, including: Nguyen Thanh Vinh, Pham Hong Thai, Chu Van Tien (all 3 are 18 years old, residing in Long Thuy ward, Phuoc Long town). On the afternoon of November 12, after school, Nguyen Thoi D and Ho Minh L. (17 years old, residing in Phuoc Tin commune, Phuoc Long town) went out the back gate of the school to go home and met Vinh, Thai and Tien's group. This group asked D to go to the road next to Phuoc Long town People's Court to talk. D agreed and L invited Lu Van T. (18 years old, residing in Long Thuy ward) who knew Vinh's group to go with them.
Both groups got on motorbikes and drove to the meeting point. As soon as they stopped, Vinh used a hard object to repeatedly hit D. on the head. Seeing this, L. and T. rushed in to stop them, but were beaten by Vinh's group. The incident only stopped when someone came to intervene.
D.'s group was afraid of being blocked and beaten again, so they went to a shop to drink water. After that, D. went home and complained of dizziness and vomiting, so his family took him to the Phuoc Long Town Medical Center for emergency treatment, then transferred him to Binh Phuoc General Hospital. There, doctors concluded that D. had died of brain death./.
