The market for genuine smartwatches this year is not very vibrant, with only a few models being sold, and Samsung and Sony remain the most prominent...

Samsung Gear S2

Among Samsung's smartwatch models, the Gear S2 is highly rated for its design, featuring a stainless steel case and two strap options: a rubber strap for the standard version and a leather strap for the Classic version.

The Gear S2 features a 1.2-inch Circular Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 x 360 pixels, a light sensor that automatically adjusts screen brightness to suit the surrounding environment, and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 to reduce scratches.

Both the standard and Classic models are equipped with a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 4 GB of internal storage. The watches are dust and water resistant to IP68 standards, and have a 250 mAh battery that lasts 2 to 3 days. Additionally, users can activate power-saving mode to extend usage time. Both the Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic models come with a wireless charging dock for easier charging.

The product runs on the Tizen OS operating system, with its most unique feature being the rotating navigation dial around the front, along with the Home and Back buttons located on the side, allowing for quick and easy access to notifications and applications. This Samsung device is compatible with all phones running Android KitKat 4.4 with 1.5 GB of RAM or higher.

Sony SmartWatch 3

The SmartWatch 3 runs on Google's wearable platform, boasts a youthful, sporty design, numerous features, and a battery life of approximately two days. Considered an upgrade to the SmartWatch 2, the SmartWatch 3 completely breaks away from the design and software of its predecessor. Sony's latest smartwatch has a sporty look with colorful rubber straps.

The SmartWatch 3 features a 1.6-inch screen with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. In default mode, the SmartWatch 3 displays information quite clearly even without a backlight. When the user checks the time, the backlight automatically activates for better visibility.

A significant change on Sony's new smartwatch is the Android Wear operating system. The watch runs smoothly thanks to its 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 4 GB of internal storage. The sensors on the SmartWatch 3 include a light sensor, accelerometer, digital compass, gyroscope, and GPS.

The SmartWatch 3 allows you to receive notifications and communicate with smartphones running Android 4.3 or later via Bluetooth 4.0. The device can play music from its internal memory and track health independently without needing a phone. According to the manufacturer, with a 420 mAh battery, the SmartWatch 3 has a battery life of approximately two days.

Huawei TalkBand B2

The TalkBand B2 is the successor to the TalkBand B1, which Huawei introduced in early 2014. It's also the most affordable model among the three prominent smartwatches this year. The TalkBand B2 has a two-part design: the Bluetooth headset that doubles as a watch face, and the strap with a frame to attach the headset. The headset and frame are made of aluminum, while the strap can be chosen from leather or synthetic rubber.

The product features a 0.73-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 128 x 88 pixels to display the wearer's health information. The TalkBand B2 can also locate the user's smartphone even when it's set to vibrate mode, or function as a remote camera shutter button on the smartphone.

The TalkBand B2 can provide up to 5 days of battery life or 6 hours of talk time on a single charge. The TalkBand B2 is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.0 and iOS 7 or later.
