(Baonghean.vn) - A quick report from the Department of Tourism shows that during the 2018 New Year's holiday, the total number of visitors in the province was estimated at over 47,000; the number of overnight stays reached over 12,000, and total revenue reached nearly 20 billion VND.

During the three-day New Year's holiday, the weather was quite favorable for recreational activities and picnics. Tourist areas and attractions such as the Kim Lien Historical Site, Dai Tue Pagoda, Muong Thanh Dien Lam, the Tea Hill - Cau Cau Dam (Thanh Chuong), and the sunflower fields (Nghia Dan)... attracted a large number of visitors during the New Year's celebrations.
The number of tourists during the 2018 New Year's holiday showed a significant increase compared to 2017, primarily driven by tourists seeking experiences, attending celebrations, and year-end parties. Occupancy rates at major hotels during this period averaged 40-50%, with notable examples such as the Muong Thanh Dien Lam Hotel reaching nearly 90% and the Saigon Kim Lien Hotel exceeding 60%.
The travel business also achieved positive results; during the 3-day holiday, travel agencies successfully organized 42 tours with a total of 1,150 customers. The results of travel business activities during the 3-day Tet holiday increased by approximately 10-20% compared to the same period in 2017.
