3 buttons drivers must use when the windshield fogs up due to cold weather.
Cold weather causes a temperature difference between the inside and outside of the car, leading to fogging of the windshield due to condensation. Here's a trick to help drivers deal with this problem.
In Vietnam, especially when operating in the cold and humid conditions of the North, drivers often experience fogging of the windshield or side windows due to the temperature difference between the outside and inside of the vehicle. This obstructs the driver's visibility, making driving difficult.

If faced with this situation, how should the driver handle it? Below are three buttons that safe driving experts use to overcome the problem of a foggy windshield due to cold, humid weather.
The first thing the driver needs to do is press the A/C button, setting the temperature to low and the fan to maximum to gradually reduce the temperature difference with the outside environment. The next button to press is the defrost button, usually identified by an upward-pointing wavy arrow icon.

Finally, the most important button is the recirculation button, also known as the recirculation button, which has a curved arrow icon inside the car and needs to be turned off. By turning this function off, drivers can ensure their car receives fresh air from outside, and also reduce the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the car more quickly, thus preventing the windshield from fogging up.
Additionally, according to some drivers' experience, lowering the side windows is a viable solution to help balance the temperature inside the car with the outside temperature, and it also helps save fuel. However, this method is only applicable on cold and dry days.

When driving in rainy, humid conditions that aren't too cold, if the defroster is on, the driver should close all the windows to allow the defroster system to work effectively and quickly remove any condensation from the windshield.
Besides the techniques mentioned above, drivers can use anti-fog solutions, which cost only a few hundred thousand dong, to wipe both the inside and outside of the windows. This method is a bit time-consuming but yields significant results, so it's recommended to wipe the windows once a month.
