30 logs "slipped" through the Vinh bypass on Christmas Day.

(Baonghean.vn) - Mobile forest ranger and forest fire prevention team No. 1 (Forestry Department) recently discovered and seized a case of illegal timber transportation on the Vinh bypass road.

At 5 PM on December 24th, upon receiving a tip, Mobile Forest Protection and Fire Prevention Team No. 1 (Forest Protection Department) inspected three trucks with license plates 81C 081 86; 81C 079 67; and 81C 058 12 that were traveling on the Vinh bypass road, in Hung Loi commune (Hung Nguyen district).

Upon inspection, the task force discovered a large quantity of timber on the vehicle that differed from the quantity and types of wood presented in the transport documents. It is estimated that the volume of timber being transported exceeded or deviated from the presented documents by approximately 30 cubic meters.

Currently, authorities are temporarily holding the vehicle and the timber in question for investigation and processing according to the law.
