(Baonghean.vn) - The Youth Union of Tan Ky Town recently organized the first Tan Ky Open Swimming Tournament in 2016.

The female athletes compete in the freestyle swimming event.

The competition attracted over 300 children under 14 years old from communes and towns in Tan Ky district. The contestants competed in three events: breaststroke, backstroke, and freestyle for both boys and girls, with the top nine in each event advancing to the finals.

As a result, 117 contestants advanced to the finals. At the end of the competition, the organizers awarded 11 first prizes, 11 second prizes, and 11 third prizes, with a total prize money of 18,360,000 VND.

This swimming competition provides an opportunity for children to train and compete, fostering interaction, learning, and exchange of experiences, thereby discovering and identifying talented individuals to participate in swimming competitions for various age groups in Nghe An province.
