Four players from Song Lam Nghe An have been called up to the Vietnam U22 national team.
To prepare for the 2026 U23 Asian Qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam U22 team will have its first training camp in 2025 with a squad of 27 players, including 4 players from Song Lam Nghe An Club.
This training camp for the Vietnam U22 team aims to create favorable conditions for the coaching staff to build the most competitive squad possible, focusing on two key objectives: the 2025 U23 Asian Championship Qualifiers in September 2025 and the 33rd SEA Games in December 2025.

In addition, quite a few new players have been given a chance to prove themselves, including some young players who have come through the U19/20 age group such as Nguyen Quang Vinh (Song Lam Nghe An), Nguyen Le Phat (PVF-CAND). Notably, another overseas Vietnamese player has joined the national team this time: midfielder Le Viktor.
Born in 2003 in Moscow, Russia, this player has a Vietnamese father and a Russian mother. According to his profile, Le Viktor is a product of the CSKA Moscow youth academy and primarily plays as an attacking midfielder. He previously played for Binh Dinh FC in the 2023 season before moving to Hong Linh Ha Tinh FC to compete in V.League 1 2024/25.
According to the plan, the Vietnam U22 team will reconvene on March 10th at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. Because this coincides with the FIFA Days training camp in March 2025 for the Vietnam national team, the position of Acting Head Coach of the Vietnam U22 team will continue to be entrusted to Assistant Coach Dinh Hong Vinh by Coach Kim Sang Sik.
Joining Acting Head Coach Dinh Hong Vinh in the coaching staff are Assistant Coach Trinh Duy Quang, Goalkeeper Coach Tran Minh Quang, and Fitness Coach Nguyen Tang Tuan.
In this training camp, the Vietnam U22 team will participate in the CFA Team China 2025 International Football Tournament organized by the Chinese Football Association from March 20th to 25th in Jiangsu, with the participation of four U22 teams: Vietnam, Uzbekistan, South Korea, and host China.
This is the second consecutive time the Vietnam U22 team has received an invitation to participate in this high-quality tournament. The previous tournament took place in September 2024, when the Vietnam U22 team, under the guidance of Acting Head Coach Dinh Hong Vinh, had three very useful "test matches" against China U22, Uzbekistan U22, and Malaysia U22.
