4 exemplary "Good Children of Uncle Ho" in Nghe An
The 13th Congress of Exemplary Children of Uncle Ho in Nghe An province, scheduled for 2025, will have 55 delegates, representing the outstanding young talents among more than 500,000 members of the Youth Union and children throughout the province. With their remarkable achievements in learning and training, these children are continuing to uphold the fine traditions of Uncle Ho's homeland in the present era.
The determined Hmong girl
For many years, Vu Ky Nguyen, a 7th-grade student from the Mong ethnic group at Muong Xen Town Secondary School in Ky Son District, has always been loved and admired by her teachers and friends for her impressive achievements. Nguyen's mark is clearly demonstrated by being the only student from Nghe An to reach the semi-finals of the "Reaching High with Dreams" competition organized by the Central Youth Union in 2024. In addition, she won second prize at the provincial level in the Vietnamese Language Online Champion competition (2022-2023), first prize in the provincial chess competition (2023-2024), and the title "Learning Never Stops".

For district-level competitions, Nguyen is considered a "winner" of the school, consistently achieving impressive results. Notable achievements include first prize in the Math competition, second prize in the English competition, and third prize in the Literature competition at the district level in the 2023-2024 school year. Furthermore, she demonstrated her artistic talent with first prize in the "Listen to My Child" painting competition organized by the District Women's Union in 2023, and first prize in the painting competition celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Organization and the 131st anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth.

Having accompanied Ky Nguyen throughout the years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head Teacher in charge of the Youth Union at Muong Xen Town Secondary School - shared that what impressed her most about this student was not only her impressive achievements, but also her sense of responsibility and enthusiasm in school and class activities.
As the Head of the Student Union, Ky Nguyen not only performs her duties well but is also always ready to help her friends with their studies and encourage them to confidently participate in group activities. Thanks to her enthusiasm, the Student Union movements in the school are becoming increasingly vibrant, attracting many students to participate, contributing to creating a positive and cohesive learning environment.

Ignite a passion for mathematics.
At national and international mathematics competitions, Tran Tien Dung, a 9th-grade student from Le Hong Phong Secondary School, has become a familiar face to many, consistently achieving high rankings and demonstrating his outstanding talent in this subject.
In 2022 and 2024, I won first place at the International Kangaroo Math Competition (IKMC). The International Kangaroo Math Competition is a large-scale, internationally recognized math competition, first held in France in 1991 and organized by the International Kangaroo Math Committee (Association Kangourou sans Frontières). Each year, the competition attracts over 9 million participants from approximately 100 countries worldwide.

In addition, during the 2020-2021 school year, Dung excelled, winning the Gold Medal at the Asian International Mathematical Olympiad (AIMO) (Vietnam National Round 2021); the Gold Medal at the ASMO International Science, Mathematics and English Olympiad - 2020; a Silver Medal at the American Mathematical Olympiad (AMO); and the Second Prize in the monthly competition "English Challenge Season 2" - organized by Nghe An Radio and Television Station in collaboration with the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, along with many other prestigious awards.
Behind those achievements lies unwavering passion and perseverance. Dung dedicates a lot of time to researching and studying advanced math problems, trying out various solution methods. “Mathematics isn’t just about numbers; it also helps me hone my thinking skills and discover new things. Every difficult problem is a challenge, and the harder it is, the more I want to conquer it,” Dung shared.

Beyond his passion for mathematics, Tran Tien Dung also boasts impressive achievements in computer science and English, including an honorable mention in the Nghe An Provincial Young Computer Scientists Competition and an IELTS score of 7.0. With a thirst for knowledge, Dung is steadily conquering new milestones, continuing to write his own remarkable journey.
Confidently integrating into the international community.
Cao Vu Nam, a 7th-grade student from Hoa Hieu 2 Secondary School in Thai Hoa town, is a prominent figure with impressive achievements on the international stage. From 2022 to 2025, he won numerous prestigious medals and certificates in Mathematics, English, Science, and Informatics competitions such as HKIMO, TIMO, HIPPO, FISO… Notably, Nam also made his mark at the World Scholar's Cup 2023 and had the honor of being a delegate to the Model United Nations session organized by IMUN. Beyond his academic excellence, he actively participates in community activities as a member of the Toucher Arts project, contributing to promoting Vietnamese culture to the world.

Sharing about his journey, Nam expressed: "I think that studying well will help me learn many new things, make friends from many countries, and have the opportunity to introduce Vietnamese culture to everyone. Over the past time, I have always been encouraged by my teachers and family to improve my critical thinking, foreign language skills, and confidence in communication. Although I sometimes face difficulties, I will always try my best to learn and confidently try new environments, bringing the image of my country closer to friends around the world.”

Pham Chau An, a student in class 5C at the Vinh University Pedagogical Practice School, is a prime example of outstanding achievement in English. She excelled in the national English competition in the 2024-2025 school year; won the national English champion title in 2024; first place in the provincial IOE English competition in 2024-2025; second place in the provincial TOEFL English competition in 2022-2023 and 2023-2024, along with many other important awards.

Notably, Chau An has leveraged her language skills to spread positive values. Recognizing that many underprivileged children lacked access to formal English education, she initiated and is currently the project leader for a volunteer English teaching project at the SOS Children's Village (Vinh City). Through the project's activities, she and her friends have organized effective lessons, helping children learn correct pronunciation and build confidence in using English. This inspires and motivates them to learn, contributing to a friendly and open learning environment.
The 55 delegates attending the 13th Nghe An Provincial Congress of Exemplary Children of Uncle Ho, 2025, although coming from many different regions, each child honored at the Congress shares a common passion for learning, creativity, and self-confidence.
The congress is scheduled to take place from March 26 to 29, 2025, with many meaningful activities.
