Four regions in Ukraine could be annexed by Russia starting September 30.
(Baonghean.vn) - On September 25, the Russian news agency TASS quoted a lawmaker as saying that four regions in Ukraine could soon be annexed by Russia, and President Vladimir Putin could participate in this process.

Specifically, a Russian lawmaker revealed to TASS on September 24th that the annexation of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, into Russia could take place on September 30th. The member of the Russian State Duma stated: “Considering the preliminary results of the referendums and Russia’s readiness to certify them, the annexation of these territories (DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions) could soon take place on September 30th.”
The lawmaker said that Russian President Putin might participate in the process on September 30. "I don't know if he will attend, but he might," the lawmaker said.
Yaroslav Nilov, Deputy Chairman of Russia's Liberal Democratic Party (LDPR), told TASS that members of the State Duma had not been informed of the above. However, Nilov said, "The senators were asked to undergo three PCR tests in order to participate in an important event on September 30."
Earlier, the LPR and DPR, as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, began voting on joining Russia as constituent territories on the morning of September 23. The voting will continue until September 27.
