41 prisoners in Nghe An province were granted amnesty.
On the morning of May 1st, the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center held a ceremony to announce the 2025 amnesty decision of the President of Vietnam for 41 inmates who had achieved good results in labor and rehabilitation during their sentences and met the eligibility criteria.

Speaking at the ceremony, the representative of the Detention Center leadership acknowledged the rehabilitation efforts of the inmates who were granted amnesty. At the same time, they expressed the hope that after returning to the community, the inmates would abide by the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and the regulations of their local communities; and strive to do many good and beneficial things for themselves, their families, and society.
Prisoner Ho Viet Cuong, from Hung Nguyen district, who was convicted of trafficking prohibited goods and sentenced to 60 months in prison, was granted early release in this amnesty thanks to good behavior. Speaking on behalf of the prisoners, he shared: "I am very grateful for the lenient policy of the Party and the State; I thank the care and education of the Supervisory Board and correctional officers of the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center."
I myself promise that upon my return, I will become an honest citizen, abide by the state's policies and laws, and actively develop my family's economy."

After receiving their amnesty certificates, the inmates were provided with financial assistance for food, transportation, clothing, and footwear by the Nghe An Provincial Police Detention Center to help them return to their hometowns.
