2. Cough remedy using thick-leaved purslane.
- Method 1:Pick a few thick-leaved mint leaves, chew them, hold them in your mouth, then swallow the juice and discard the pulp.
- Method 2:Take 20g of perilla leaves and 3 slices of fresh ginger, crush them together, filter and drink the juice.
- Method 3:Take 10 fresh perilla leaves, 1 lemon (sliced), 1 fresh ginger root (sliced), and enough rock sugar or honey. Put all ingredients into a bowl and steam over a water bath. Drink the resulting syrup gradually.
- Method 4:Take a handful (15g) of perilla leaves, 10g of lime leaves, 5g of tangerine peel, 3 slices of fresh ginger, and 10g of rock sugar. Boil these ingredients to make a decoction and drink it throughout the day.
- Method 5:20g of *Tần dày lá* (a type of herb), 15g of honeysuckle flower, 15g of *Sài đất* (a type of herb), 12g of *Xạ can* (a type of herb), 12g of licorice root. Boil these herbs in 600ml of water until only 200ml remains. Divide into three portions and drink throughout the day.
Thick-leaved purslane can be used to relieve coughs and sore throats continuously for 3-5 days until symptoms subside.
