5 best universities in the world for computer science.
The 2017 World University Rankings by the British education company QS have published a list of the world's best universities for computer science programs. Of the top five, four are in the United States. Those five universities are:

1. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA)
It's no surprise that MIT, a prestigious university, is considered the best place in the world to train computer science students. MIT alumni have founded approximately 25,800 companies, creating over 3 million jobs. 25% of these workers are employed in Silicon Valley, according to The Guardian.
2. Stanford University (USA)
Coming in second is another renowned American university. Stanford alumni have founded some of the world's largest technology companies, such as Google, HP, Instagram, and Snapchat.
3. Carnegie Mellon University (USA)
This is a private university in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Although it's not as famous as MIT or Stanford, its computer science courses are highly rated by the QS rankings, placing it third, according to Business Insider.

4. University of California, Berkeley (USA)
Founded in 1868, the university is located in Berkeley, California, USA. It is one of the leading universities in the United States and is world-renowned. The QS rankings place the University of California, Berkeley, fourth on the list.
5. University of Cambridge (UK)
While the first four universities are located in the US, the fifth is in the UK: Cambridge University, located in Cambridge, England. The city also boasts many other prestigious universities, making it the largest technology hub in the UK.
