5 most promising candidates for Miss Universe Vietnam 2023

The final night of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 will take place on the evening of September 29 in Ho Chi Minh City. The bright faces for the crown are gradually revealed.

Nguyen Thi Huong Ly (candidate 192) is the leading candidate for the title of Miss Universe Vietnam. Competing in Miss Universe Vietnam for the 4th time, the model from Gia Lai showed her determination to win after 2 stops in the top 5. She is 1.76m tall, has measurements of 82-60-92cm, has a toned body and professional performance skills. Huong Ly also has the advantage of community projects when she co-founded a sustainable fashion brand aiming to reduce environmental pollution, and has been an ambassador for social programs and organizations for many years.

The biggest obstacle that could hinder the beauty born in 1995 from reaching the crown is her communication skills and English. At this year's contest, she was in the top 5 of Miss Sea and was loved for her dedication in teaching catwalk skills to her fellow contestants.

Having been in the top 10 of Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, Bui Quynh Hoa (candidate number 718, Hanoi) also has great potential to win the crown. She is 1.75m tall, with measurements of 86-60-93cm, won the Gold Medal of Vietnam Supermodel 2018, and was crowned International Supermodel 2022. The 25-year-old model and businesswoman is highly appreciated for her beautiful face, stage presence, performance skills, and meticulous investment.

Over the past two years, she has developed a project to support the protection of women’s health in remote areas; raise awareness of gynecological disease prevention, and distribute health insurance cards. In the final round, she maintained a stable performance through activities, breaking through when entering the top 5 of Miss Sea.

As a new face among the experienced contestants in beauty pageants, Trinh Thi Hong Dang (candidate 213) has a lot of potential to make it into the top 3. She is 1.71m tall, with measurements of 86-60-91cm, and is currently a mental health coach. The beauty was born and raised in Russia, lived and studied in the US since the age of 17, and graduated with a major in Financial Risk Analysis and Real Estate (University of Pennsylvania). During her student years, she carried out campaigns to support victims and prevent sexual violence; participated in environmental protection activities; and received many scholarships and awards for her positive contributions to the community.

After working in the real estate and culinary fields, Hong Dang had to fight and overcome a breast tumor surgery. This incident made her realize her true passion, becoming a mental health coach for the past 3 years. At Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, she was praised for her Asian face, toned body, and entered the top 5 Miss Sea. With her outstanding education, foreign languages, social activities experience, and the courage and mindset of a young leader, Hong Dang fits the criteria that Miss Universe is looking for.

In her second time competing in the beauty pageant, Nguyen Thi Le Nam (contestant number 151) returned stronger and more comprehensive. The beauty from Tien Giang was born in 1996, is 1.75m tall, and has measurements of 86-60-94cm. She is highly appreciated for her beautiful face with pure Vietnamese features, gentleness, bright smile and energy in the activities at the contest. Besides her work as a model and actress, Le Nam has just released her first book: "The Power of the Inside" - the title was inspired by the famous quote at the final night of Miss Universe Vietnam 2022.

Le Nam has a high chance of going deep and shining at the final night of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023. However, many viewers are still concerned about the beauty's ability to behave.

Having made an impression from the beginning of the contest, Lydie Vu (SBD 291) is also likely to make it to the final top 6. She was born in 1993, is 1.76m tall, has measurements of 83-62-93cm, has a Vietnamese mother and a French father. The beauty is currently the head of operations and supply management for a high-end interior design company in Ho Chi Minh City. The mixed-race beauty is highly appreciated for her charming beauty, toned body and many years of experience in implementing community projects. She is in the top 5 of Miss Sea.

In her 5th beauty pageant, Pham Thi Anh Thu (candidate 148, Ha Nam) showed her determination to win a ticket to represent Vietnam in the international arena. She is 1.75m tall, with measurements of 84-60-92cm, currently a student at the University of Theater and Cinema in Ho Chi Minh City, a model and a freelancer. Pham Thu's advantages are her beautiful face, attractive body and professional performance skills. She brought to the contest an inspirational story about a difficult childhood, a lack of family happiness but always striving to rise up.

Communication skills and English are the limitations of the 26-year-old beauty. At the contest, she was in the top 5 of Miss Sea, and was active in the group activities. With her experience and outstanding stage skills, if she performs well in the behavioral part, the opportunity to compete internationally for Anh Thu is completely possible.

Emma Le (SBD 710) has a lot of potential to surprise at the final night. She was born in 2000, is 1.68m tall, has measurements of 86-62-92cm, and graduated from the International University (Ho Chi Minh City National University). The 10x has a Spanish father and an actress mother, Le Hoa. The beauty has been acting since she was 3 years old, appearing in many films such as: Tropical Snow, Evil Mother - Angel Father, Sister Sister 2; and starred in a commercial with Son Tung M-TP, Soobin Hoang Son, and Toc Tien.

At Miss Universe Vietnam 2023, Emma Le is one of the contestants with the most beautiful faces. The ability to communicate fluently in Spanish, English, and French is also an advantage for this mixed-race beauty. The winner of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 will compete in Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador from November 3-18.
