'500 million dollars' danced around, helping PSG win convincingly against Rennes.

Neymar and Mbappe – the attacking duo worth nearly $500 million – took turns scoring and assisting in PSG's 4-1 victory in round 18 of Ligue 1.

Neymar returned after missing the win against Lille last weekend due to suspension, and he only needed four minutes to help open the scoring at Roazhon Park. The credit goes to young striker Kylian Mbappe, whose playful interaction with the Rennes defenders on the right wing set up Neymar for one of the easiest goals of his career.

The visitors established dominance, and Neymar nearly scored a second goal six minutes later, with a shot narrowly missing the target. But PSG fans didn't have to wait long for the next goal. In the 17th minute, it was Neymar's turn to provide a perfect assist in tribute to Mbappe, allowing the French striker to double the lead. The Brazilian easily left Hamari Traore behind before skillfully flicking the ball with the outside of his foot to set up his teammate.

The home side created only one clear chance before halftime, but former West Ham midfielder Morgan Amalfitano's shot narrowly missed the target. On the other side, Edinson Cavani tried to end his four-game goal drought. Early in the second half, he had a good opportunity but Traore cleared the ball off the line.

Rennes responded with a goal to reduce the deficit in the 53rd minute. Amalfitano headed the ball against the post from a corner kick, and Firmin Mubele Ndombe tapped it into the net past Alphonse Areola. Both home players were unmarked when they scored.

But Rennes' joy was short-lived. They shattered any nascent hopes of earning points when captain Benjamin Andre received two yellow cards within nine minutes.

PSG's forwards didn't miss the opportunity to improve their goal-scoring record. In the 75th minute, Neymar chipped the ball to Cavani, who broke the offside trap and chipped the ball over the home goalkeeper with a single touch. The goal came from a seemingly harmless situation, but the PSG stars showed they understood the formula for scoring.

Rennes collapsed with a fourth goal conceded just seconds later. The Cavani-Mbappe-Neymar trio punished their opponents immediately with a well-executed move. Neymar finished it off with a cross from Mbappe, a perfect "goal-as-you-go" shot. Neymar was involved in all four of PSG's goals, while Mbappe also bagged a goal and two assists.

After 18 rounds, PSG still maintain a nine-point lead over second-placed Monaco. In the final round of the first half of the season, they return to the Parc des Princes to host Caen.
