(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 16, the Steering Committee for the implementation of Decision No. 62/2011/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the regime and policies for those who participated in the war to protect the Fatherland, performed international missions in Cambodia, and helped Laos after April 30, 1975 and were demobilized, discharged from the army, or quit their jobs (referred to as Steering Committee 24 of Nghe An province) held a conference to summarize its activities.

Overview of the Conference.

In the past 4 years (2011-2015), implementing Decision No. 62/2011/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, the Steering Committees at 24 provincial and district levels, the Policy Councils at commune, ward and town levels, the Party Committees and local authorities of the whole province have surveyed 68,198 cases, of which 52,122 cases have been decided to receive subsidies. Thanks to that, it has gradually reduced some of the difficulties for policy beneficiaries, contributing to consolidating the people's position and maintaining political security - social order and safety in the area.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 groups and 10 individuals; the Provincial Military Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 11 groups and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing policies according to Decision No. 62/2011/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
