According to Mr. Cao Duc Cuong, Director of ABC Travel - the company that organized the tour for the Thai group to Nghe An, the group mainly came from two areas: Bangkok and Southern Thailand.
In Thailand, the tourists gathered and flew directly from Bangkok airport to Vinh. The group will stay and explore the North Central region for 5 days and 4 nights, from August 10th to August 14th.
During their 5-day stay in Vietnam, the company will lead the group to visit famous tourist destinations such as Tam Coc Bich Dong, Sa Pa, Hanoi, etc.
Specifically, on the last day of the trip, August 14th, the group will stop in Nghe An. The company plans to take the group to visit President Ho Chi Minh's ancestral home, experience the culture at Vinh Market, Big C, and Metro, and then enjoy seafood and a refreshing swim at Cua Lo before boarding the plane back to Bangkok at 10 PM.

According to the company's estimates, the Thai tour group will spend approximately 50% of their expenses in Nghe An during their 2-night, 1-day stay. Since this is the first time Nghe An has welcomed a Thai tour group via a direct international flight from Vinh to Bangkok, it will be an important test. Therefore, the company will do its best to create a positive impression on the group and hopes to attract more Thai tour groups to visit the province by air.
Ms. Vo Thi Thu Hoai, Deputy Director of Vietravel, shared that welcoming the first group of Thai tourists to Vinh via the Vinh-Bangkok flight route once again demonstrates the opportunity to boost tourism in Nghe An in particular and the North Central region in general. It also opens up opportunities to attract new tourists and creates conditions to invite investors to join hands in exploring the tourism potential of the North Central region.
