60 million Vietnamese people search for information about private homes

The 2017 real estate market report and real estate information search behavior shows that private houses are the most searched for with 60 million searches.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Anh, Deputy General Director of the information website batdongsan.com.vn, said that the research results reported on the behavior of people looking up real estate information on this website show that the proportion of people looking for real estate information the most in our country is from 25 to 34 years old, accounting for 52%; followed by people from 18 to 24 years old. The group of people over 65 years old searches for real estate information the least.

In 2017, people aged 25 - 34 were the group of people searching for real estate information the most.

The report also said that in 2017, men were more interested in real estate than women, at 52% (women were 48%). Ho Chi Minh City had the most people searching for information related to real estate with 48.3%, followed by Hanoi with 27.2%, and Da Nang with only 4.2%.

According to this report, the number of housing transactions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City was the highest in the second quarter with more than 15,400 successful transactions, and in the first quarter with more than 13,600 successful transactions. The market was quieter in the third quarter, with more than 12,400 successful transactions. It is forecasted that the fourth quarter will have a large number of transactions but it will be difficult to surpass the level of the second quarter. Of which, apartment transactions in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City accounted for the majority.

In 2017, people searched for real estate more than in 2015 and 2016. Private houses were the most searched with 60 million searches in 2017. Residential land was the second most searched, with over 50 million searches. Next was the number of people interested in apartment products with over 45 million searches. The type of real estate product for tourism and resort was the least searched, with under 10 million searches.

In Hanoi, people interested in apartments account for the largest proportion at 38%; private houses are 27%, residential land is 19%; townhouses are 6%; villas and townhouses are 7%...

Meanwhile, in Ho Chi Minh City, the proportion of people interested in private real estate is the highest at 37%; apartments are 23%; residential land is 17%; townhouses are 12%; project land is 8%...

In 2017, in the apartment real estate category, in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the proportion of interest in mid-range apartments was the highest, at 54% and 56% respectively. The low-cost apartment segment ranked second, at 32% in Hanoi and 28% in Ho Chi Minh City. The high-end apartment segment had the least interest, at 14% in Hanoi and 16% in Ho Chi Minh City.
