64 students were awarded prizes at the Chemistry Olympiad on May 19th.
On the evening of August 10th, in Cua Lo ward, the Nghe An Chemistry Association held the awards ceremony for the fourth National 19-5 Chemistry Olympiad in 2025.
This is an annual event that the Nghe An Chemistry Association has maintained for many years. In 2025, the competition attracted more than 1,500 chemistry enthusiasts from 15 provinces and cities nationwide. After the first round of online competition, the 104 most outstanding students were selected for the final round to compete in person in Nghe An province.

Previously, the examChemistry Olympiad Finals 19-5Initiated in 2021 by the Nghe An Chemistry Association, this competition has become a meaningful intellectual playground.
Organizing the May 19th Chemistry Olympiad is one of the meaningful activities of the association aimed at encouraging the teaching and learning of chemistry in junior and senior high schools. Through this, it aims to discover and honor students with aptitude in chemistry, create a source for nurturing chemistry students in high schools, and contribute to achieving the goal of training talented individuals for the homeland and the country.

Speaking at the closing ceremony and awards presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Cự Giác - Chairman of the Nghe An Chemistry Association and Head of the Organizing Committee, said: This year's exam brought many new features, most notably the bilingual exam structure (Vietnamese and English), aiming to encourage students to use English in their chemistry studies.

This year's exam also focuses on reading comprehension and the application of Chemistry to real-world situations, aiming to assess not only knowledge but also critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity among the students.
Through the success of this competition, the students have conveyed a powerful message about the appeal of Chemistry... and spread the love of contemporary Chemistry to everyone.

The success of the competition affirms the role of Chemistry in the life and future of the country. From there, it ignites a passion for science, contributing to the nurturing of talented generations of intellectuals for our homeland.
At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 64 outstanding contestants, including 2 First Prizes, 12 Second Prizes, 16 Third Prizes, and 34 Consolation Prizes. The First, Second, and Third Prize winners also received Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals.

The first prize of the competition went to two contestants: Le Van Lam, a 9th-grade student from Le Hong Phong Secondary School, Hung Nguyen commune, Nghe An province, and Nguyen Xuan Manh, an 11th-grade student from Quynh Luu 4 High School, Quynh Tam commune, Nghe An province.
In addition, 40 other contestants also received certificates of participation.

On this occasion, the Nghe An Chemistry Association awarded a prize to Nguyen Ngo Duc, a student in class 12A4 at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, for winning a Gold Medal at the 2025 Mendeleev International Chemistry Olympiad (IMChO).
In addition, members who achieved high results in training gifted students in Chemistry and in helping students achieve a perfect score of 10 in Chemistry in the 2025 high school graduation exam, as well as members who achieved outstanding results in association activities in 2025, were also rewarded.
