7,400 people fell victim to a scheme that exaggerated the quality of dietary supplements, presenting them as medicine.
Using a pre-prepared script, these individuals impersonate doctors or healthcare center staff, calling people and tricking them into buying dietary supplements as medicine.
On March 25th, the Nam Dinh Provincial Police announced that they are investigating a fraud case involving the appropriation of property that occurred in Nam Dinh province and other provinces and cities nationwide. The perpetrators used deceptive tactics, posing as legitimate companies to call and offer advice, exaggerating the therapeutic effects of various products.functional foods, cosmetics.
The ringleaders of this operation are the couple Tran Thi Thu P. (born in 1996) and Nguyen Manh Tr. (born in 1992, residing in Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi).
The couple established NTA Group Co., Ltd. (NTA Company), located at 442 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan Trung Ward, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi City.

During its operation, P. continuously established branch companies in many provinces and cities nationwide, registering them to trade in dietary supplements.
However, these individuals operate through fraudulent means to swindle money from customers.
Using a pre-written script, employees of these companies would impersonate doctors or staff from healthcare centers offering treatments for skin pigmentation, diabetes, bone and joint problems, liver issues, hair problems, stomach problems, etc., calling customers to inquire about their health conditions and then offering to sell them treatment packages using NTA Company's products.
These treatment packages are essentially boxes of dietary supplements and cosmetics that have absolutely no therapeutic effect.

The Nam Dinh Provincial Police are requesting that anyone who is a victim in this case, having been deceived using the methods described above, report to the Criminal Police Department to assist in the investigation, or contact investigator Vu Manh Thuong directly at 0945.701.807.
