7 signs to identify successful people
If you're an entrepreneur and you compare yourself to Richard Branson, you're obviously a loser. Similarly, if you're a singer and you compare yourself to Taylor Swift (especially in terms of income), you'll fail. And if your goal is to change the world, it's best not to compare yourself to Steve Jobs.

Comparison is the problem. No matter how successful you feel, there will always be someone else who is more successful than you. They will be smarter, more skilled, richer, or simply happier. So stop comparing yourself and focus more on yourself. Here are some signs that you might be unexpectedly successful:
Having enough money allows you to make positive decisions on your own.
Some people only earn enough to cover their living expenses. Worse, many are forced to make decisions based on comparing their basic needs.
If you earn enough money and don't overspend, you have the right to decide what to do with the surplus – whether it's investing, going on vacation, or taking a class… anything you enjoy instead of being forced to – then you are a successful person. That's because you not only escape the situation of having no savings but also utilize the surplus to make yourself more successful.
Having a best friend
Close friendships are becoming increasingly rare. One study showed that the number of friends with whom one feels they can discuss important issues has decreased, from an average of 2.94 to just 2.08 in the last 20 years (a significant drop considering the power of social media).
If you have more than two or three close friends, be happy, not only because of the social connections you have, but also because the positive effect on longevity is twice as great as exercising or quitting smoking.
You have the right to choose the people around you.

Some people have subordinates who drive them crazy. Others have truly annoying clients. Still others have to deal with selfish, eccentric, self-centered individuals. The important thing is: they decide who they will work with, whether professionally or personally.
Successful people tend to attract other successful people. Hardworking people attract other hard workers. Good people tend to associate with good people. And good employees only want to work for good bosses.
If the people around you want to stay connected with you, that shows you're successful. If not, it's time for you to start making a change.
Recognize failure as an opportunity for self-improvement.
Failure is terrible, but it's also the best way to learn and grow. There will always be experiences, challenges, and difficulties – but in the end, perseverance will conquer all.
Every successful person has experienced failure, not just once. Therefore, view failure as an opportunity – you master it, learn from it, and take responsibility for ensuring that the next time the outcome is completely different – that's when you succeed. And you will become even more successful because you never stop striving to improve yourself.
Don't ask for anything.
People who feel successful are not those who are in need. They accept help if offered, however, they feel they don't need to rely on others. In fact, they focus on what they can do for others.
Let others get all the attention.
You can do everything yourself, accomplish great things, and enjoy the fruits of your labor. However, if you don't seek praise or awards, that means you are successful. You feel proud of yourself. You don't need glory or awards; what matters is knowing what you have achieved. You receive recognition from others, but you don't necessarily need it.
Live with purpose.
Successful people live with purpose. This is reflected in their enthusiasm, passion, and fearlessness. Successful people share their passion with others.
Finding your purpose means you've found something that motivates, inspires, and excites you to explore and achieve. This means you are successful, regardless of how much money you earn or what others think. Why? Because you are living life your own way – and that is the clearest sign of success.
