Such subjects are offered as courses at some British universities. The Independent has compiled a list of the seven strangest courses at British universities.
1. Paranormal and Spiritual Sciences, University of Edinburgh
This is a doctoral course at the University of Edinburgh. PhD students will focus on historical data and documents about paranormal and magical phenomena.
2. Teaching Horror Makeup, London College of Fashion (LCF)
London College of Fashion will teach students how to transform people into monsters, zombies with gruesome injuries. These professions will be very useful in horror movies and annual Halloween festivals.
3. MA Comedy, University of Kent
This course teaches students how to engage an audience and make them laugh. By the end of the course, each person will have developed a different style of performance on stage.
4. Perfume Studies, Plymouth University
Students will be taught how to identify, analyze odors, and sell perfumes. Upon graduation, students will understand the origins of scents and the scientific process of creating a perfume.
5. Viticulture and Winemaking, University of Brighton

Pizza Hut chain partnered with MMU in 2015 to open a course teaching management and leadership skills to students through the process of making and distributing a popular product: pizza.
