In the final days of his playing career, Vidic suffered a series of injuries and decided to terminate his contract with Inter Milan 11 days before his retirement. While playing for MU, Vidic lifted the Premier League trophy five times and the Champions League once. He and Rio Ferdinand formed one of the most formidable central defensive partnerships in Premier League history. |

| 4. Luca Toni:Luca Toni retired after the match between Hellas Verona and Juventus in the penultimate round of the 2015/16 Serie A season. During his 22-year career, Toni scored 156 goals in 343 Serie A matches. He played for eight different clubs in Italy's top division. In the 2014/15 season, Luca Toni scored 22 goals to win the top scorer award, a significant final achievement in his career. |

| 5. Diego Milito:On May 21st, after scoring a penalty to help Racing beat Temperley 2-0 in the Argentine league, striker Diego Milito officially retired at the age of 36. Throughout his career, the Argentine player scored 254 goals in 607 matches. His greatest achievement was the brilliant 2010 season with Inter Milan, winning a treble of team titles; in addition, Milito won a series of individual awards: Best Player in Serie A 2009/10, UEFA Player of the Year, and Man of the Match in the Champions League final. |

| 6. Daniel Agger:On June 9th, the former Liverpool center-back announced his retirement at a relatively young age: 31 years old. Throughout his 12-year career, the player born in 1984 only played for two clubs: Brondby and Liverpool. Fans of both teams regarded him as a symbol of loyalty.
